Inland Knights present Chewy Mango EP
Raise Recordings
Raise Recordings is the new offshoot of the mighty Drop Music, the label that has been home to the Inland Knights for the past 10 years. After taking a short break throughout the rest of 2007 while Drop Music continued to impress and the Knights worked on projects for other labels, including several remixes and compiling ‘San Francisco Sessions 6’ for Om Records, Raise and the Knights are back in full effect as they present the ‘Chewy Mango EP’.
Of particular note on this EP is the appearance of Larry Fives. Having kept a fairly low profile so far the mysterious one here returns a remix favour to the Inland Knights, who reworked the track ‘Dance Me, Dance You’ on his debut EP for Drop a couple of months back.

Soularis & Kenny Thomas
If You Believe
SunSoaked
Music fashions may ebb and flow, but great voices never go out of fashion. This is why it’s time for a new celebration of one of the best vocalists ever heard in British soul music, Kenny Thomas.
Kenny made a huge mark during the golden years with Chrysalis’ Cooltempo label, which included two top ten albums, 1991’s voices and 1993’s sequel Wait for Me, the top ten smash Thinking About Your Love, three more top 20 hits in Outstanding, Best of You and Trippin On Your Love, and four further top 40 singles.
Now, following on from his recent success with “Keep The Fires Burning” (Soul-Fi Records), Kenny teams up with Soularis to bring you another future soulful classic “If You Believe”. Already being championed by the likes of Terry Jones, this shows Kenny’s return to what he loves and does best, “dance music with soul”
Son of Sound
Trial By Fire EP
Speak Recordings
Son of Sound returns on his own imprint with the Trial By Fire EP – three tracks guaranteed to satisfy the nu-disco, electro and houseketeers .
Ever After Hours infects with an opening blast of Levan(ish) drum textures, synth-stabs and a post-disco groove that channels peak hour at the Paradise Garage. The drums continue to a build that segues a huge baseline and a dubbed-out frenzy carries you out into the morning.
The Yes & No is the answer when asked if it’s possible to cross belearic elements with New York post-disco grit. The track delivers the percussive mid-tempo feel of a classic mid-80’s garage tune and all the melody of expressive italo-disco. Percussive drum tracks, live bass-line and New-Wave style chant lay on a bed of expressive melody lines to complete this mid-tempo groove.
Did I Hear Movement? turns the tempo up with an electro-disco feel. The track delivers for the big and small rooms with its percussive drums, electro synth-base, mesmerizing chords and pulsating arpeggiator lines.
Terrence T
Stars (Milton Jackson/Hiro Remixes)
TronicSole
Terrence T's finest moment to date gets the remix treatment courtesy of Milton Jackson and an edit from the up and coming Hiro. The original as supported by Jimpster, Funk Da Void and Shur I kan was ripe for a remix and Milton's take is one that will rock more than just the deep house dancefloor, while Hiro injects a lil of his unique brand of energy into the classic original.
DJ Sai vs. Keith Thompson
Thoughts Of Life
Waking Monster Media
Keith Thompson presents the debut of the South African Young Guns Series. First up is up and coming producer DJ Sai with "Thoughts Of Life". A project long time in the finalization. But good things come to those who wait and here we move you with Sai's original production. While mixing the project, Thompson was inspired to write a song to the music bringing to it social commentary which finally blossomed into an additional remix by Keith. South Africa has been one of the centers of house music for a few years now and when DJ Sai tested the remix out at a recent jam, the party was elevated.
MoreHouse Records
Miami 2008 Sampler EP
MoreHouse is about to rock Miami with a vengeance! MoHo’s WMC 08 Album Sampler is a take no prisoners assault on the senses that spotlights four wickedly delicious cuts from Groove Junkies long awaited debut artist album “In The Zone” – slated for release later this Spring. The four uniquely diverse titles, all written and produced by Evan & Parrish, offer a glimpse of some the finest work the fellas have embarked on. The Sampler features an amazing collective of today’s most gifted vocalists, musicians, and one of the hottest Producer / DJ’s on the scene, Brazil’s finest import – DJ Meme. Here’s a brief summary of what’s on the package.
1) “Work It Out” featuring Wendy Brune’ (GJs Funk Fusion Dub)
This is one of 10 bumpin’ mixes, and part of a package that was earmarked as the first official single release from the forthcoming album
2) “Dr. Feelgood 2008” featuring Diane Carter (DJ Meme’s Philly Suite Mix)
DJ Meme’s remixing skills are on full display here as he leaves no stones unturned, and delivers a knockout punch that would make Gamble & Huff, and Vince Montana proud.
3) “In The Zone” (GJs Rough & Raw Mix) the title cut from their forthcoming album, is a dark, brooding, space tech beast that is pure unadulterated filth! Complete with hypnotic chants, broken beats, melodramatic orchestral strings, punctuating synth stabs, and one very nasty bass line – “Zone” bolsters Parrish & Evan’s reputation as one of the elite production teams on the planet! Serious, serious heat ya’ll!!
4) “Pulled Me Through” featuring Solara (GJs Elevation Mix)
The Album preview Sampler would not be complete without giving praise to the man upstairs for all His glory. “Pulled me
Through” features the incomparable Solara who offers the most stirring performance of her ultra impressive career. Inspired from a near fatal experience, her passion and soul resonates throughout as she gives testimony to The Almighty with some of the most emotive spoken word, and vocals ever recorded on a dance project.
Spiritual Blessings pres. Kumasi
Gotta' Keep Faith
Hard to avoid these two guys when it comes to GKF! They are everywhere. Producers, remixers, deejays... Ezio and Jean have been involved with Gotta Keep Faith Records since the very beginning of the story. Rumor says that they are now producing Susu Bobien for a major GKF release which will be presented during the WMC.
Deep... in the jungle! Before reaching Miami, the Italian boys must have spent some time in Africa to prepare this single. The “Original Mix” is the perfect balance between deep and afro-house, drums seems to be played by an entire army of bongos, and the mama’s vocals are going to put the crowd into a trance. The “SB in Da Deep Mix” really sounds like some true Italo-deep-house from the early 90’s and includes a crazy synth solo. But the guys must have been too deep in the jungle! That’s where they got their inspiration for this “Lost in Ghana Mix”, an Afro hypnotic version which could definitely be used as a war chant. Glad they came back in one piece!
