ESSENTIAL RELEASE
The Rainbow Family
I Can See A Rainbow
Console

Solemusic's sister label Console bring an extra special release for those of you who appreciate great music ! Rainbow Family's "I Can See A Rainbow" combines all things organic and electronic to create a futuristic pop sound that sparkles with melody, honesty and inspiration and sprinkling of soul. Simply a beautiful song that I can't stop listening too. Not the kind of track I would play out but would be the perfect track to end an evening on an almighty high!! Here Droido, Gordon Blackbeard and Rainbow Family themselves get in on the remix action. This is the lead single from their Debut album, ‘This Is Not a Circular’ from the original Rainbow EP released last year. This single received extensive support from both Radio 1 (Rob Da Bank played it five weeks in succession) and XFM.

Gap Tooth Gypsys

Tricky Disco
Tricky Disco
iO Music
Those of you who have been in this game long enough will well know the excellent original version of this record and may even remember certain shenanigans enjoying it! Sadly one of the original producers Lee Newman passed away in 1995 from Cancer so it's a tribute to him that this has been remixed and released all these years later. Here we have two cool new mixes that use the vocal snippets to retain the original sound. One is a grinding bass driven electro affair that plods hard and heavy, the other is built on a platter of filtered vocals, atmospheric sounds and a very funky grinding bassline. Very nice indeed.!.

Soularis
Back Together Again
SunSoaked Recordings
SunSoaked bring us a lovely classy cover of "Back Together Again" by Soularis who lay it down to a true classic garage style. I'm not sure who origonally did this but Lyric L recently had a release of it with Restless Soul Mixes. Here the Soularis boys do a fantastic uplifting light and airy version of the track with some cool instrumentation that featuring trumpets, keys and a substle bass guitar each building the track and complete a wonderful soulful track that hits the spot.!

Various Artists
Buzzin' Fly Vol 4 Sampler
Buzzin' Fly
Forthcoming from Buzzin' Fly is Volume Four in their compilation series mixed by head honcho Ben Watt. Each track is from home nurtured talent and either on Buzzin' Fly or new sister label Strange Feeling'. These mixes are always firm favourites and commit to showcasing unsigned artists who's material add that extra edge to our ever-growing genre of house music, and thus helping to progress the sound. Starting off this sampler is 'Just A Blip' from Ben Watt which presents the labels darker side with a deep grunging bass! then onto track seven from the compilation 'Freaky Bleepy' by Martin Bordin which is a slightly heavier track with an excellent bass line thrusting forward with loads of energy, this track is my pick of the sampler. 'Long Shadows' track 2 from the mix is another deep haunting track with the main focal part being a violin section creating a melody to capture your mind and finally the first track of the mix from BarBQ titled 'Barbi In Love',  deep electronic strings weaving through the track helped along with a pulsating bass and soothing echoing vocals. Looking forward to the release of what will be another cracking Ben Watt compilation..

Clarisse Muvemba
Roses
Heya HiFi
This is the first single with solo artist Clarisse Muvemba for Heya HiFi and contains two songs along with a remix by fellows Bangana. The original versions are a sweet and salty mix of electronic sounds, and true organic, jazzy flavours. The close up of Muvemba’s naked voice glues it together superbly.“Roses” is a 6/8-flirt with big choires and floating, analog bubbles. The more clubby and minimal Bangana remix uses the bubbly rhythms in a different way, making it suitable for early mornings. B-sided “Time Is Now” adds an even more suggestive tone.

The Jinks
Brazilla
Sole Music
London’s the Jinks have been creating quite a stir in the land of house since releasing damn fine music on many quality imprints. Here we unleash their newest monster entitled ‘Brazilla’ which features a cast of many live musicians who have all joined forces to create a little slice of summer on one CD. Holland's hottest production duo, Gregor Salto and DJ Madskillz offer more of a percussive peaktime excursion with hypnotic keys and effects.

Hippies In Space feat. Lee Anderson
Keepin' It Simple
White Lotus Club
White Lotus Club offer up this very sexy piano lead groove from the Hippies in Space with the awesome voice of Lee Anderson delivering the vocals. Keeping It Simple has the sound of a classic main room club record. The kind of thing that was rocking the clubs a few years back, not to say this is out of date at all no, it’s refreshing to hear a track like this and it fit in well with the happening club tracks right now. Hippies In Space are highly respected Producer duo Frank Bonik and Dennis Eilert with Raul Moros & Groove Rebels on Remix duties.  Pucker up and party :) !!

Shik Stylko & Matt Caseli
Me Sorprendiste
SoulFuric Trax
Pacha Ibiza resident Matt Caseli and production duo Shik Stylko in tow unleash a sizzling slice of House that will have the dancefloors on fire in no time with the massive “Me Sorprendiste” (Spanish for 'You Surprised Me'). The Original Mix is built around a hugely catchy spoken/sung male vocal and spiced with a large helping of piano-percussion whilst the Staffan Thorsell & Georg Neufeld Dub is a slick, more laid-back affair. The Shik Stylko Dub brings on the heat for the more upfront floors with electroey stabs and punchy beats. Franco de Mulero and Ferry B add a very cool instrumental-led version, making Me Sorprendiste a seriously hot package for the summer.

Nick & Danny Chatelan

Micky More
Victory Dance

Thai Soul
This is an excellent track from Italian producer Micky More… Inspired by the American sound of the 70's Micky has taken all his influences and produced "Victory Dance", a jazzfunk bomb with class appeal. Working with some of the best musicians in the Italian Jazz/funk scene  "Victory Dance" gets the live royal treatment. To add even more weight to this package, Grammy Award Nominee Jay-J provideds the highlight remixes with his “Shifted” mixes that contain a well incorporated scratch that hypes up the track and stirs up vibe working just right against the uplifting trumpets and keys. Loving this a lot!! Thaisoul label boss Jask also gives a DJ-friendly edit to Micky's Original classic with extended intros, fresh beats, ear candy, and extended outros. Last but not least Justin Michael and Solo give Victory Dance a bluesy escape from the norm!

Polyphonics
Cypher
Sole Music
Sole music based label artist’s Polyphonics bring us a very captivating soulful track called ‘Cypher’. A real all-smiling, hands in the air affair! Upbeat and full of energy this one has been rocking the peeps all over for a couple of months now. Polyphoncs are following up their hit from last year ‘Changing Times’ which you’ll recall included a massively successful mix from DJ Spen. 'Cipher' is a glorious slice of musical house featuring a fantastic vocal from Julia and will hit the spot every time!

GramophoneDzie
Jackin' it (Tommy Largo remix)
Gotta' Keep Faith

Love the Tommy Largo mix on this, great use of an old favourite break beat and some neat filter effects making this track work real nice and sound very upbeat and different a breaks meets soulful house track. Check out the Drum & Bass style beat programming in this track, works really well and gets peoples attention! A full-on jackin’ groove all the way and the keys and melodies creating the flow of the track that really appeals to the ears! GramophoneDzie are two dj’s from Belgrade, Serbia. Dj Sasha Radosavljevic and Marko Hollywood decided to make GramophoneDzie for themselves and their friends who like deep house music. They become popular playing discohouse in their country but got fed up with discohouse mutating into bla-la-la-house, so they decided to start something new. That’s how GramophoneDzie were born 3 years ago and started producing tracks together.

The first two are very funky and Soulful filled tracks breathing some fresh air into the music. “Sundance has received stong support from the likes of Brian Tappert, Christian Hornbostel , Grant Nelson , Central Avenue and many more. While the other track to keep your eye on is “Had Enough” featuring Simon Green on vocals, and nice upbeat song with a nice warming vibe.

The Insatiables
Developing Good Taste EP
Gotta' Keep Faith
Luka & Marko are two brothers from Belgrade, Serbia. They’ve been making music for a long time, but just recently decided to make a group or a band and called themselves “The Insatiables”. Why? Because they are young, anxiuos and unstoppable and they spent enormous time in their studio downtown Belgrade. There are 2 projects on this EP, “Perspective” and “Chicago”. The second has cooperation of Mr. Michel Rischard aka DJ MOOG that gives to the track his funky dopa groove.

11AM feat. Brooja
Llevame
SunSoaked
11AM are Andy Tracey and Mark Atherton; both natives of Manchester and its vibrant cutting edge house scene. Both guys have worked in many musical guises over the years, but both keep coming back to their one true love – namely “House Music”. Now with 11am, the focus is fresh and strong, and the focus remains “House Music”. Their first release on the Sunsoaked label is “LLEVAME”, featuring the Latin soul perfection that is BROOJA, and the sensational sound of Sax supremo IAN DIXON. On the remix duties, SOULARIS takes the track and smoothes it in typical style with the SunSoaled mix then throws in the DUB just to mix it up and catch you off guard. SEMINAL GROOVE completes the package with a filthy dub that'll keep you big room boys coming back for more!

Ce Ce Peniston
I'm Feeling You
SoulFuric
Soulfuric Recordings present two House music’s legends - singer/producer/DJ/remixer Ron Carroll and celebrated vocalist CeCe Peniston, who together embarked on what is likely to become one of the biggest vocal House collaborations of 2007. ‘I’m Feelin’ U’ is essentially what uplifting, dancefloor-inspired House music of the highest order is about. Ron Carroll’s Original BMC Vocal Mix keeps things on the classic Soulfuric-style tip, giving room for CeCe’s amazing voice to shine in full effect. One of France’s fastest-rising artists, DJ Fudge adds his magic by delivering a raw & soulful Main Remix, whilst he combines deep, melodic sounds to create a more eclectic Dub Mix. Rounding off the package is an edgier, prime-time Dub by Brian Tappert.

DJ Moog
Soul Barbecue EP
Gotta' Keep Faith
DJ Moog's new ep is funky, funky, funky!! true 'Funky House' without the cheese, taking things back to the early days of this sound where the guitar sound was rocking the floors, each track on this ep does the job of moving the floors. Flavour is my personal pic, along a similar vein as Jazz N Groove, a wicked ep that's nicely produced.

DJ Dealer
Dance Electric (Remixes)
Look At You
DJ Dealer is back in the groove with some very hot new remixes of his excellent release ‘Dance Electric’. Following from the last versions these mixes are very groove heavy and ready to rock.! Mixes from Mark Grant, Blacksoul, Dealer himself puts in a fine ‘Summer Breeze Remix and my favourite mix is from Manuel Sahagun who’s mix is very chunky, full of funk and some great jazz sounds, a track that will pick up and move any reputable floor!.

Spiritual Blessings
100 Years In Full Effect
Gotta' Keep Faith

This project was born by a joke, it was originally a test of some synths played many years ago. One day talking with Domenico Navarra, he asked them to remix the track. In this way “100 Years In Full Effect” was remixed by Dom in his really unique style, but was then re-done by Spiritual Blessings in a new version and then a mix was added by remixer and producer George Neufeld from Switzerland. To complete the project exclusive Graphic Art was designed by Sanchezlife..

Stevie Sole & Dominic Martin
The Truth EP
Tronic Sole
Here is a brand new slamming EP from Sole Music's trippier imprint Tronicsole. Stevie Sole teams up with Dominic Martin a relative new comer to the production scene. Hailing from Glasgow, Dominic Martin has been involved with house music for over a decade and so far, has released tracks on TUSOM, Beatfreak and Nordic Trax. With forthcoming projects getting released on Kingdon Kome and Second Coming, 2007 is gonna be a big year for this exciting new producer. Both ‘Different Gravy’ and ‘Truly Fantastic’ celebrate everything that’s exciting about electronic house right now with slamming beats, pulsing b-lines, hooky riffs and tripped out effects.

Layers Of Sound
Thanking You
CDR
Layers of sound aka Mike Newstead is a producer to look out for as he’s making big waves with hot productions like this..! “Thanking You” is a chunky soulful track with a tasty melody that launches a very strong lead vocal, it’s full to the brim with all types of keys, stabs, strings and bass to pump the groove. Mike’s done a very detailed job of this production and should be receiving loads of support after this. Top track!

Jazztronic
Samurai (Dave 'RedSoul' Remix)
Pantone

Dave ‘Redsoul’ is a man who’s steadily raising up his profile in the producer ranks and continuing to put out some excellent tracks and remixes. His latest remix is of the sublime ‘Samurai’ by Jazztronic. One of those tracks that’s so good it’s a big challenge to remix it and keep up the passion of the original. Dave has done exactly that and reconstructed it not too distant from the original mix but with his added ‘Redsoul’ flavour. A very productive year for Mr Redsoul ahead.

DJ Jeroenski
Lust for Life

deVice
Jeronski’s “Lust For Life” has all the traits of becoming a classic house record. The vibe is very Balearic and fresh, perfect for the sunset moods to get the bloof flowing!. The electro styled melody is the main focal point and I think people will really go for it when played in the clubs, as it has an inviting and friendly sound to it that will connect very well. The Original is a bit more on the smoother side and will appealing to the Soulful heads for sure.

Simon Grey ft. Robbie Smith
Together
Ceremony
Simon Grey adds his unique mark to this Ceremony Records with this soulful release. Duff Note & One51 WMC 07 Sampler
Showcasing some of Duffnote/One51’s future releases, this sampler demonstrates the continuing diversity of this growing dance music collective. To start things off, Bristol based Elektro Organik, fresh from their recent excursions on Doubleshock, drop this synth fuelled, bouncing disco stormer with Christian Fontana on vocals. Stereo Mutants liven things up afro style with Antonia Lucas on vocals for One51. Next on One51 is “Please Don’t Call” (This Is Rhythm ft.
