What were your earliest musical memories?
Dan: The Beatles and my Dad's African Riddims
Chris: Jamming "Twinkle Twinkle Lil Star"on the recorder

Who was your first musical hero.?
D: Michael Jackson. Allegedly
C: The Pixies.

When did you get into Djing.?
At Richmond College where we both started down the slippery slopes of debauched nights and crazed crate digging. 10 years later it's still much the same but with a few more early nights...

When did you do your first production.?
After a couple of years messing around at mates' studios we finally got our asses in gear and set up our own studio... We were locked away in the back room of Chris's flat for several months before we completed our first proper finished tune, a remix of Dan's mate's band from Switzerland

Have you always been in the music industry or did you do another job.?
D: I worked at Sothebys in the watch dept which obviously prepared me nicely for the world of music
C: I worked for Pony music promoting some of their bands, which obviously prepared me nicely for the world of music

What was the first track that you had released.?
"Love Like This" featuring Ricky Collins (The best goddamn singer this side of Boise Idaho)

What was it that got you noticed.?
Our Godzilla like production skillz and devilish good looks How would you describe your sound.?
"So long as it's funky... alright okay" as Common once said

How has the last 12 months been for you.?
Musn't grumble

Have you done any or plan to do any mix compilations?
We did a couple of mixes at the end of last year and sent them off to a couple of the music mags. Good thing too as we won the Mixmag competition and came second in International DJ's Raw Talent feature. How dy'a like dem apples!

Are you doing much Djing at the moment.?
We have a monthly residency at the stupendous Dust in Clerkenwell (first Friday of every month) and are doing guest spots up & down this fair country.

What do you think to the Soulful House scene at the moment.?
As long as Louie Vega & Kenny Dope are still breathing it'll always be great

What labels/Producers are 'doing it' for you at the moment.?
MN2S obviously, Papa, Mainsqueeze and Stones Throw are always game for something different. As for artists... Ha! How long you got? Jon Cutler, Bugz In The Attic, I G Culture, Madlib, Paul Hunter, Jay-J, Rasmus Faber, Roy Davis, MAW, Bassment Jaxx, Phil Asher, Reel People, Kenny Dixon Jr... oh man we better stop now.

Are there any projects your working on or have coming up you can tell us about?
Our next single 'Inamorata', featuring Reel People's Mike Patto tinkling the ivories and the dulcet vocal tones of Zodiac, is nearly finished.. and boy is it fat...big up Mr. Patto and Zodiac Bop! Bop! Bop!

Do you have your own studio.?
The appropriately named Money Pit Studio in Ladbroke Grove

Do you have any goals for the next 12 months.?
Release a few more cracking singles and getting our grubby hands on someone else's material for phatazz remix duties.

What are the currently big tunes in your box that are really working your dance floors?
'Runnin' by Jon Cutler is still doing it
'I Got Rhythm' by Soul Fuzion Kenny Dope and Terry Hunter doing some wicked mixes
"Knee Deep" (Jinks Re-Edit) by Funkadelic - 25 years old and still does the do!
'Love Like This' by The Jinks - no harm in a lil plug is there?
